Maharashtra Prisons Dept Recruitment 2014 – Jail Sepoy & Clerk Posts: Maharashtra Prisons Department has issued a recruitment notification for the recruitment of Jail Sepoy & Clerk Posts. Online applications are invited for filling up 589 Jail Sepoy and Clerk vacancies in South Zone, West Zone, Central Zone and East Zone. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through online mode on or before 27th January 2014. For further details are given below…

I.) Jail Sepoy: 541 posts
South Zone: 111 posts
West Zone: 126 posts
Central Zone: 201 posts
East Zone: 103 posts

II.) Clerk: 48 posts
South Zone: 12 posts
West Zone: 09 posts
Central Zone: 11 posts
East Zone: 16 posts

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 33 years for Clerk posts 18 years to 25 years for Jail Sepoy posts. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 12th standard or equivalent for Jail Sepoy posts and must have passed SSC or equivalent exam with Typing knowledge of Marathi & English languages for Clerk posts.

Application Fee: General and other unreserved candidates are required to pay Rs. 500/- as application fee while SC/ ST category candidates will have to pay Rs. 250/- as application fee.  Ex-Serviceman candidates are exempted from paying application fee.

Application fee should be paid through Challan in State Bank of India.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their marks obtained in written Examination and Physical test.

How to Apply Online: Please read the following instruction given below carefully before filling the application form:-

  1. Visit official website at http://oasis.mkcl.org/dig.
  2. Now click on Apply Online and select the post you want to apply for.
  3. Choose Exam Centre and fill all the details in application form, Grab Examination ID
  4. Take print out of Bank Challan or use the online payment to make the payment of application fee at State Bank of India and get the Transaction ID & Date.
  5. Make payment and visit the same website once again and select the Login link this time.
  6. Enter the User Name and password previously provided and in the following page upload the scanned photograph and signature at places provided.
  7. Fill all details including fee payment details and submit the online application.
  8. It will show you message as Transaction ID Updated Successfully.
  9. Now Take print out of application form and keep it for future reference.

  1. Starting Date for Online Registration: 06-01-2014
  2. Last Date for Online Registration: 27-01-2014
  3. Last Date for Payment of Application fee: 29-01-2014
  4. Last Date for filling remaining Application: 31-01-2014
