3) India’s first police academy for riot control and public order management was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on 10 November, 2013. This academy has been established at - Meerut, Uttar Pradesh (This academy will be run by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in its 108th battalion campus of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) at Meerut.
