भाषाओं (Language) से सम्बन्धित रोचक जानकारी


1. हवायन (Hawaiian) वर्णामाला में केवल 12 अक्षर होते हैं।
2. उर्दू और अंग्रेजी दोनों के ही वर्णमालाओं में 26 अक्षर होते हैं।
3. ‘हरि’ हिन्दी का एक ऐसा शब्द है जिसके दर्जन भर से भी अधिक अर्थ हैं; -
यथा यमराज,पवन, इन्द्र, चन्द्र, सूर्य, विष्णु, सिंह, किरण, घोड़ा, तोता, साँप, वानर और मेढक, वायु, उपेन्द्र आदि।
4. राजभाषा अधिनियम के अनुसार हिन्दी भाषा के लिए देवनागरी लिपि तथा भारतीय अंकों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय रूप प्रयोग किया जाता है।
5. अंग्रेजी का शब्द ‘News’ चार दिशाओं North,East, West, और South के प्रथम अक्षरों को मिला कर बना है।
6. अमेरिका की अपेक्षा चीन में अधिक लोग अंग्रेजी भाषा बोलते हैं।
7. ‘racecar,’ ‘kayak’ और ‘level’ अंग्रेजी के ऐसे शब्द हैं जिन्हें चाहे बायें से दायें पढ़ें कि दायें से बायें, वे एक जैसे ही पढ़े जाते हैं।
8. WAS IT A CAR OR A CAT I SAW.  अंग्रेजी का ऐसा वाक्य है जो उल्टा सीधा एक समान है।
9. अंग्रेजी शब्द Stressed को उल्टा पढ़ने पर अंग्रेजी का ही एक दूसरा शब्द Desserts बन जाता है।
10. अंग्रेजी का सबसे छोटा पूर्ण वाक्य है – ‘Go’।
11. अंग्रेजी के केवल चार शब्द ऐसे हैं जिसके अन्त में “dous” आता है, वे हैं – hazardous, horrendous, stupendous, and tremendous।
12. “The quick brown fox jumps over a lazy dog.” वाक्य में अंग्रेजी के सभी अक्षर प्रयुक्त होते  हैं।
13. बगैर कोई स्वर (vowel) वाला अंग्रेजी का सबसे बड़ा शब्द है “Rhythms”!
14. “uncopyrightabl e” अंग्रेजी का एक ऐसा शब्द है जिसमें प्रयुक्त कोई भी अक्षर दो बार नहीं आता।
15. अंग्रेजी में ‘E’ का प्रयोग सबसे अधिक होता है और ‘Q’ का सबसे कम ।
